Called to Serve

Dave and BettyAnn have been called to serve  in the Montevideo, Uruguay Mission

 I was trying to figure out how to add details to the last post, but I am not sure. So here is a new post with the details of Dave and Betty Ann's call. It all happened within the last 3 weeks which kind of sent my parents into a whirlwind. They had a video conference first from Elder Nelson and he asked if they would be willing to stay in South America a few more years. Then about a week later they had another video conference, this time with President Uchtdorf, who issued them the call. They will report to the MTC in Provo on June 23rd and stay there for a week. Then they will be flying out to Uruguay. The plan is to leave Peru the last weekend in March so that my Dad can have surgery on his hand and have time to recover. He will still be working for the church, just in Salt Lake, up until the time he leaves. My mom will be doing everything else to prepare to leave the country for 3 years (no coming back to visit this time). Stacey will be attending school at Bingham for 2 months so she can get credit for her 10th grade year. She is really excited that the school in Uruguay is in the same conference as the one in Lima. It is going to be an amazing adventure for all of them!
